On Sunday Alex and I decided we wanted to have an adventure. Originally we were going to go to the coast, but it seems like everyone else had the same idea and traffic was terrible. So, instead of sitting in traffic for a couple hours getting grumpy and annoyed, we decided to just keep on heading north to the city. We weren’t really sure what we were going to do once we got there, but figured we would figure it out on the fly. As we approached the city I suggested we visit the San Francisco Zoo. We had tried once before, but never made it thanks to a motorcycle accident that had us stopped on the San Mateo bridge for two hours. Alex complied with the suggestion and next thing I knew we were visiting the zebras, tigers and bears. The weather was a bit depressing (completely overcast/foggy and barely 60 degrees), but we had lots of fun. Alex took a ton of pictures, we had the most delicious garlic fries ever, and I thoroughly acted like I was a giddy 8 year old (minus the hissy fits), especially when Alex bought me a giant stuffed elephant (I still need to think of a name of it). What can I say, I love animals! Beware, this post is picture overload (and because of that I have put most of the pictures under a “Read More” link)!
WAIT! THERE'S MORE!»
